The judges were incredibly impressed with Maia’s rendition and she received positive comments from all of them. According to Wales Online, Amanda Holden declared: “I don’t think you do know your own strength. You are an ordinary little girl, with an ordinary family and then something extraordinary comes out of your mouth when you sing.”
David Walliams said: “Wow! Incredible. You have such a big voice for such a young girl. You did everyone in Wales proud. I am sure everyone is rooting for you.”
Alesha Dixon added: “You are such a pro, you wouldn’t know you didn’t have many rehearsals. You hit those big notes. For your age, it is so impressive. You have got it.” For such a young girl, Maia has an exceptionally mature tone to her voice and can control her musical talent like a true pro. From the cheers and applause at the end, you can tell the audience loved it too!
Simon Cowell also showed his support after her second performance, saying:
“You got tonsillitis and you decide to sing one of the hardest Whitney songs. That takes guts and it worked. I liked the fact that I could actually hear you and I could hear the Welsh lilt. The control was terrific!” Very high praise indeed!
Maia didn’t quite make it through to the finals of “Britain’s Got Talent,” but she gave it her best shot, and we are certain we will be seeing her on stages around the world in the future.
